o follow occupational health & safety requirements as well as mode of conduct rules at the
territory of an enterprise/institution, in production and subsidiary buildings and in industrial
amenities;
o make use of and correctly apply personal protective equipments;
o undergo, in the order established by the legislation, medical examinations, training and
training, field training, safety training course, advance qualification program and verification
of knowledge in the sphere of occupational health & safety;
o inform immediately the employer of any situation causing threat to life or health of employed
and other persons; of an injury case happened at workplace, render assistance to the
employer in taking measures to provide help and assistance to injured persons, delivering
them to the medical establishments;
o exercise other duties foreseen by the occupational health & safety legislation;
An employed person additionally is obliged to:
o follow occupational health & safety norms and obligations foreseen by the collective
agreement, employment agreement, internal code of labor conduct, employment duties;
o report promptly to the immediate supervisor in case personal protection equipment are
missing;
o render assistance to and cooperate with the employer in ensuring healthy and safe
conditions at workplace, report promptly to immediate supervisor or other executive officer
on malfunctioning of the equipment, instrument, fittings, transport means, protection
equipment as well as on deterioration of his/her health;
Article 16 . Work safety service (specialist on occupational health & safety)
For organization of work and performing control over observance of occupational health & safety at
work the employers, pursuant the established legislation, are to set up work safety service and to
institute the staff position of a specialist on OH&S.
The structure and number of staff of OH&S service depends upon the total number of employed
persons, the character and the degree of hazard of industrial environment and work activity factors
as well as upon availability of potentially hazardous work and production activities and other
industrial facilities;
The republican bodies of state administration, other state organizations subordinate to the
Government of the Republic of Belarus, local executive and administrative bodies set up
occupational health & safety services and institute the staff position of a specialist on OH&S in
accordance with the established staff size;
