Seminaren und Kongressen im In- und Ausland tragen ExpertInnen der Investkredit vor. Darüber hinaus
sind MitarbeiterInnen Lehrbeauftragte an Universitäten und Fachhochschulen.
Der Österreichische Corporate Governance Kodex ist ein Orientierungsrahmen für die verantwortliche
Leitung und Überwachung eines Unternehmens. Ziel ist die langfristige und nachhaltige Wertschaffung unter
Einbeziehung der Interessen aller, deren Wohlergehen mit dem Erfolg des Unternehmens verbunden ist.
Ab Jahresbeginn 2009 ist ein revidierter Kodex gültig, der den Anspruch unterstreicht, den modernsten internationalen
und europäischen Standards zu entsprechen. Der Kodex (auch in der aktuellen Fassung 2009)
sowie allgemeine Erläuterungen dazu sind unter www.wienerboerse.at/corporate/kodex.htm zu
finden.
Die Investkredit Bank AG hat sich als Aktiengesellschaft, die nach österreichischem Aktienrecht durch
Aufsichtsrat und Vorstand gesteuert wird, bereits 2002 – zum Zeitpunkt des erstmaligen Inkrafttretens –
freiwillig zur Einhaltung des Österreichischen Corporate Governance Kodex bekannt. Als international
tätiges Unternehmen legt die Investkredit Wert darauf, ihre Corporate Governance-Grundsätze transparent
zu machen und damit das Vertrauen aller Partner zu vertiefen. Das Ziel einer verantwortlichen, auf
nachhaltige und langfristige Wertschaffung ausgerichteten Leitung und Kontrolle der Gesellschaft, wie
es in der Präambel zum Kodex definiert wird, hat bei allen Entscheidungen Priorität.
Nachhaltigkeit als künftiger Erfolgsfaktor
Mit Nachhaltigkeit („Sustainability“) ist die Verfolgung einer langfristig angelegten Strategie mit dem Ziel
einer optimierten Wertschöpfung zu verstehen. Diese langfristige Orientierung erfordert die aktive Auseinandersetzung
mit den Chancen und Risiken der Kunden bei sich rasch ändernden Umfeldbedingungen.
Für die Investkredit als Bank für Unternehmen und Immobilien war nachhaltiges Wirtschaften schon immer
ein wesentlicher Teil ihrer Identität und Geschäftstätigkeit. Diese Haltung wird vom Management und von
allen MitarbeiterInnen getragen, die durch ihr persönliches Engagement zusätzliche Potenziale für die
Realisierung einer nachhaltigen Wertschöpfung schaffen. Das heißt auch, dass die Bank in ihren Geschäftsentscheidungen
berücksichtigt, wie Kunden und Partner zur Nachhaltigkeit stehen.

with the law on the employment of disabled persons, Investkredit employed six people with disabilities
in 2008. Investkredit's experts lecture at technical events, seminars and conferences in Austria and
abroad. In addition, employees work as lecturers at universities and technical colleges.
The Austrian Code of Corporate Governance is a framework on which to base the responsible management
and supervision of a company. The aim is to create long-term and sustainable value while taking
the interests of all parties into account whose welfare is tied in with the success of the company. From
the beginning of 2009, a revised Code applies, stressing the claim to conform to the most up-to-date
international and European standards. The Code (including the current 2009 version) and general

As a joint-stock company managed by its Supervisory Board and Board of Management in accordance
with Austrian corporate law, Investkredit Bank AG voluntarily committed itself as early as 2002 to
adhere to the Austrian Code of Corporate Governance – when it first came into force. As a company with
an international business, Investkredit considers it important to make the principles of its corporate governance
transparent and so to strengthen the trust of all its partners. The goal of responsible management
and control of the company, aimed at sustainable and long-term value enhancement as is defined in the
preamble of the Code, takes priority in all of its decisions.
Sustainability as a future success factor
Sustainability means following a long-term strategy with the aim of creating value in an optimal manner.
Such long-term orientation means actively analysing customers' risks and opportunities in a rapidly
changing environment. As the Bank for Corporates and Real Estate, sustainable business has always formed
a substantial part of Investkredit's identity and business activity. Management and the entire staff maintain
this attitude, and their personal commitment creates additional potential for realising sustainable value
added. This also means that, when making business decisions, the bank considers how its customers and
partners view sustainability.
