Das Museum zeigt in wechselnden
Sonderausstellungen ausschließlich
Werke der expressionistischen
Künstlergruppe „Die Brücke“. Das
Gebäude im Bauhaus-Stil von 1968
liegt eigenwillig weit draußen, direkt
am Grunewald. Noch bis zum 17.7.
läuft die Ausstellung „Karl-Schmidt-
Rottluff, Ostseebilder“.
In changing exhibtions, the museum
shows exclusively works by artists
of the Expressionist group Die Brücke
(The Bridge). The Bauhaus-style
building from 1968 can be found in
an unusual location way out at the
Grunewald park. The current exhibition
is „Karl-Schmidt-Rottluff:
Paintings of the Baltic Sea“, until
July 17th .

Das imposante Postfuhramt wurde
im späten 19. Jhd. errichtet, um
mehr Platz für die Post-Pferde zu
schaffen. Seit dem Jahr 2000 präsentiert
C/O Berlin ein lebendiges,
kulturelles Programm internationalen
Ranges. Noch bis 1.Mai 2011 ist
die Retrospective des New Yorker
Ästheten Robert Mapplethorpe zu
sehen. Die Ausstellung konzentriert
sich auf seine fotografische
Entwicklung und zeigt 187 Bilder aus
seinem Gesamtwerk. Anschließend,
ab 7. Mai, beleuchtet „Berlin unterm
Notdach“ mit Fotografien von Fritz
Eschen die Rückkehr des Alltags im
Berlin der Zeit von 1945 bis 1955.

century to allow more space for
the Post office horses. Since 2000,
C/O Berlin has presented a vibrant
cultural program of international
standing. To be seen until May 2011:
the Retrospective of New Yorker aesthete
Robert Mapplethorpe, with a
selection of 187 photographs from
his complete works with an emphasis
on his evolution as a photographer.
The following exhibition from
May 7th “Berlin unterm Notdach” illustrates
the return of routine life in
Berlin from 1945 to 1955 with photographs
by Fritz Eschen.

In den Räumen des ehemaligen
Café Warschau könnt ihr seit
Januar 2011 eintauchen in die
Welt des Homo Ludens Digitalis,
vielen besser bekannt als Zocker.
Ca. 22.000 Computerspiele und
Anwendungen, über 300 Konsolen
und Computersysteme und über
10.000 Zeitschriften, sowie
Automatensysteme, Literatur
und Medienkunstobjekte zeigt die
Dauerausstellung.
Computer games have changed our
lives. Just how exactly? You’ll find
out in this permanent exhibition located
in the former Café Warschau.
For the Homo Ludens Digitalis in us
(better known as “gambler”),the museum
is presenting about 22,000
computer games and applications,
over 300 consoles and computer systems
and more than 10,000 magazines
as well as automated systems,
literature and media art items.
