Als wir A&O im Jahre 2000 gründeten hatten
wir eigentlich „nur ein paar Häuser in Berlin“
im Kopf. Selbst als optimistische Unternehmer
hatten wir keine Vorstellung davon, welche
Erfolgsgeschichte wir damals angestoßen
haben.
Mittlerweile betreibt A&O 17 Hotels und Hostels
in 11 Städten und die Zahl „30“ ist nicht in weiter
Ferne.
Besonders stolz macht uns, dass dieses Wachstum
aus eigener Kraft geschaffen wurde. Die inzwischen
hinlänglich aus der Wirtschaft bekannten
„Blasen“, die oft Kunden und Mitarbeiter beim Platzen
als Leidtragende hinterlassen, gibt es bei uns
nicht. Denn das macht ein solides Unternehmen
aus: Die Verantwortung für das „Danach“.
Immer wieder bringen junge Leute als Auszubildende
und feste Mitarbeiter frischen Wind in das Unternehmen
und sorgen mit dafür, dass wir uns immer
weiter entwickeln. Aber die Eckpfeiler unseres
Erfolges bleiben unangetastet.

When we set up A&O in 2000, what we had
in mind was „just a few places in Berlin“.
Optimistic though we were about our business prospects,
we had no idea of the scale of the success
which lay around the corner. Now A&O manage 17
hotels and hostels in 11 cities and the number „30“
isn‘t too far away.
What we‘re particularly proud of is the fact that
this growth has all been down to our own efforts.
We‘re not part of some economic bubble waiting to
burst - we all know the damage that can do to customers
and employees.
We know what makes a reliable company: a strong
sense of responsibility for what comes next. Our
young trainees and permanent staff never cease
to breathe fresh air into the company and help us
to continue to develop in the right direction. But the
cornerstones of our success remain.
