It was nicethere.Bowling (Tuesday 26 th )The students had a lot of fun and didn’twant to return to their hosts' homes.The unlucky teachers were waiting againin the cold building – unfortunately the airconditioners were always on during ourstay in Sheffield – this time the ladies werereally freezing.At Tapton SchoolWe had a warm welcome by the headmasterMr. Bowes – and the teachers wereguided through the school building by aveeery nice young man whose name weforgot.Mrs. Hilgers and Mrs. Çakmak, but especiallyMrs. Hilgers, liked the many posterson the wall – however our staff rooms arepretty more comfortable and so warm!In the (cold) staff room we waited, waitedand waited for the other groups to arrive… By the way, we still don’t know why theFrench didn’t come ???It was so nice to meet Sabrina from Italyagain and thanks to the Polish, Czech,Italian and Swiss colleagues for being sokind and cooperative in Sheffield – thankyou very much for the entertaining parts- AND special thanks to the teachers fortheir orientation help as we were quite oftenin search of the Ibis Hotel, feeling lostand coooold.Sarah, our bus driver, was so nice; shelooked after an Italian student who wastravelsick and she organized a taxi (reasonableprice) for the German group thathad to be at Manchester airport at 5 am.Karen, the drama teacher, was so inspiring... a workshop to remember.Oh, someone, a VIP, is missing: there wasanother guy – this smart, young, dynamic34 UNTERRICHTENman who this time reminded me of a coolpreacher – of course, we can’t forget toexpress our special thanks to THE ONEAND ONLY Mr. Graeme Driver who wasalways busy and in a hurry and yet patient,caring and multitasking … brilliant! Hereally did a great job with the choice andorganization of the workshops!
