VorländerInstitut für Technische Akustik, RWTH AachenRecently, a toolbox for MATLAB has been developed to solve commonpost-processing tasks in the field of acoustic research, including data importand export as well as different graphical representations of the data.This toolbox has also been successfully applied to laboratory exercisesand measurement tasks within the institute as well as at partner universities,as already published by the authors. In the past, a proprietarylicense was available for educational purposes only, excluding industrialapplications.In 2011 the step has been made to open the kernel of this toolbox forthe public. It is freely available for download under a BSD license, allowingthe industry, as well as students and researches to work with theITA-Toolbox in MATLAB or modify and adapt the source code accordingto the demands. In this contribution, we show the basic functionality ofthe ITA-Toolbox, the concept of object-oriented programming in MATLABused under special respect to acoustic data processing. Even complexsignal post-processing tasks can be implemented quickly using simplescripts.
