Mit Herzlichkeit, Kompetenz und dem richtigen Gespür für
neue, internationale Künstler hat Anaisio Guedes sich am
Flughafen etabliert und führt mittlerweile über 20 Künstler
aus 11 Nationen. Aber der Brasilianer arbeitet längst an einer
Erweiterung.
»Ich habe anspruchsvolle Kunden, die mir vertrauen, und
so erweitere ich derzeit das Kunstkaufhaus um namhafte
Künstler, die ich erwerbe und hier am Standort weiter
verkaufe!« Dazu gehören so beeindruckende Namen wie
Günther Uecker, Otto Piene, Gerhard Richter, Stephan
Balkenhol und Heinz Mack. Anaisio erklärt die Erweiterung
anhand der Kategorien beim Fliegen: »Es gibt Economy,
Business und First Class! So soll es auch bei mir sein!«
Vom 13. Bis 15. Dezember 2019 wird bei einem Jubi läumswochenende
mit den Kunden und Freunden auf drei erfolgreiche
Jahre Arte Gallery am Flughafen angestoßen. Die
kleine rote Figur aus Brüssel ist mittlerweile eine Hamburger
Institution geworden und wird bereits der Oscar von
Hamburg genannt.
5 Years Arte Gallery
25 years ago, Anaisio Guedes landed in Brussels at Christmas
by plane from São Paulo. Three years later, he came to Germany,
obtained his Abitur, trained as a foreign trade merchant and
then studied business administration part-time. He had little to do
with art, even though he met many artists and galleries during his
time in Brussels and this world fascinated him. At some point, the
desire to really engage with art became so great that the Brazilian
decided to work in a gallery – but he couldn’t find a job suiting his
vision and decided to open his own gallery!
Trying to find his first pieces at a fair, he was not successful, but
discovered a small red figure in a shop window away from the fair.
Thus he found his first artist.
After two years in Eppendorf, he received the offer to use some
space at the airport for two months. Three years later, his Arte Gallery
das Kunstkaufhaus is an integral part of the Hamburg airport.
»I have demanding customers who trust me, and so I am currently
expanding the gallery with well-known artists whom I am acquiring
and reselling here at the location!« These include such impressive
names like Günther Uecker, Otto Piene, Gerhard Richter,
Stephan Balkenhol and Heinz Mack. Anaisio explains the
expansion on the basis of the flying categories: »There is economy,
business and first class! It’s the same here.«
