INGREDIENTS<br />

Colocasia (arbi) 700 gms Green cardamom 4-6<br />

Oil 4 tblspns + for deep frying Ginger paste 1 tblspn<br />

Onions 3 medium sized Garlic paste 1 tblspn<br />

Poppy seeds (khus klms) 3 tblspns Coriander powder 1 tspn<br />

Yogurt 2 cups Grated nutmeg l A tspn<br />

Red chilli powder V2 tspn Garam masala powder V2 tspn<br />

Turmeric powder V2 tspn Salt as per taste<br />

Cumin powder 1 tspn Fresh cream X U cup<br />

METHOD OF PREPARATION<br />

1 Peel and cut arbi into one inch sized pieces. Deep fry arbi in hot oil till<br />

crisp and golden brown.<br />

2- Peel onions and cut into halves. Add two cups <strong>of</strong> water and boil till s<strong>of</strong>t.<br />

Drain out excess water, cool and grind to a smooth paste.<br />

.3 Diy roast poppy seeds and then soak in water for half an hour. Grind to a<br />

smooth paste.<br />

Whisk the yogurt along with red chilli powder, cumin powder and turmeric<br />

powder.<br />

22 Heat oil in a pan. Add green cardamom, when they start to change colour<br />

slightly, add boiled onion paste. Saute till light golden brown. Add ginger<br />

paste, garlic paste and coriander powder. Mix well. Stir in poppy seeds<br />

paste and cook for a minute.<br />
