V<strong>is</strong>itors to my studio will see a wide variety of artworks. My ideas are<br />
continually evolving as I try a range of techniques using materials such<br />
as plaster, slate, foil and including found items which inspire new ideas.<br />
I delight in the process of creating images which others can enjoy. <strong>The</strong>re<br />
are landscapes, still lifes, semi abstract works, and my new venture, three<br />
dimensional works!<br />
directions: From Dumfries, take the A75 to <strong>Spring</strong>holm village, and Meadowview<br />
can be found two houses before the Grapes Hotel, on the same side of the road.<br />

road 25 metres from my studio. <strong>The</strong>y serve good hearty food in a welcoming<br />
atmosphere. <strong>The</strong>re <strong>is</strong> a beer garden at the back. Glenkiln sculptures (8 - Brown<br />
Route). By Rodin, Epstein and Moore overlooking the Glenkiln resevoir at<br />
Shawhead, signed from Shawhead village, just off the A75 heading west<br />
out of Dumfries.<br />

I make a wide range of d<strong>is</strong>hes and bowls for the oven and table decorated<br />
in flowing slip that are practical and a pleasure to use: also more individual<br />
plates and large d<strong>is</strong>hes inspired by the rocks and pebbles along the shore.<br />
Th<strong>is</strong> year I have been red<strong>is</strong>covering my love of sculpture. All will be d<strong>is</strong>played<br />
in and around my small studio together with work in progress, sketch books,<br />
a warm welcome and a view of the hills.<br />
directions: In the centre of <strong>Spring</strong>holm on the A75 turn north for Kirkpatrick<br />
Durham (signposted). Go straight over the village crossroads and turn right after<br />
100 yards along a farm track. My studio <strong>is</strong> 100 yards along on the left.<br />
recommendations: Kirkpatrick Durham village hall (2). Delicious home made<br />
soups and bread plus lots of other good things to eat. Coming from <strong>Spring</strong>holm<br />
it <strong>is</strong> on your right as you enter the village. Glenkiln Sculptures (8 - Brown Route).<br />
Sculptures by Moore, Epstein and Rodin overlooking Glenkiln reservoir, five miles<br />
east of the village along a country road.<br />
