Magical Mystery Bus Tour<br />

All aboard for the popular <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> Magical<br />

Mystery Bus Tours! Hop on at 10am at one of<br />

the designated locations and hop off again at<br />

the same location at around 5pm having v<strong>is</strong>ited<br />

at least five <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> studios en route.<br />

Due to popular demand th<strong>is</strong> year we have<br />

increased the tours to six over the weekend.<br />

Early booking <strong>is</strong> recommended as places book<br />

up quickly and there are a limited number of<br />

tickets for each tour.<br />

4 <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> <strong>2013</strong><br />

All tours start at 10am. Please note that in<br />

addition to the official start and end points stated<br />

below all tours will start and end at CatStrand,<br />

New Galloway, DG7 3RN. <strong>The</strong> route and timing of<br />

all trips <strong>is</strong> left to the d<strong>is</strong>cretion of the driver taking<br />

everything into account including safety <strong>is</strong>sues.<br />

Saturday 25 May<br />

Yellow Route Tour - Pick-up point Newton Stewart<br />

Purple/Brown Route Tour - Pick-up point Castle<br />

Sunday 26 May<br />

Orange/Purple Route Tour - Pick-up point Castle<br />

Green/Brown Route - Pick-up point Dumfries<br />

Monday 27 May<br />

Blue Route Tour - Pick-up point Castle Douglas<br />

Red Route Tour - Pick-up point Dumfries<br />

<strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> Bike Rides<br />

Th<strong>is</strong> year <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> coincides with the CTC<br />

Scotland and D&G Kirkpatrick MacMillan<br />

Cycle Rally held at the Barnsoul campsite near<br />

Shawhead. <strong>The</strong>re will be rides focused on v<strong>is</strong>iting<br />

studios on both Saturday 25 and Monday 27 May.<br />

On Saturday 25 May the bike ride will leave<br />

Barnsoul at 10am for Kirkpatrick Durham (lunch<br />

there in the Village Hall), returning to Barnsoul<br />

via Glenkiln and the famous statues - an easy<br />

22 mile route.<br />

On Monday 27th May we will be offering two rides,<br />

a 50 mile round trip to Kirkcudbright and a 35 mile<br />

ride to Moniaive, both starting from Barnsoul at<br />

9:30am. Both Kirkcudbright and Moniaive offer a<br />

splendid variety of studios and good eating spots.<br />

pace on the shorter rides, but please contact the<br />

<strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> Guided Walk<br />

Organ<strong>is</strong>ed by Galloway Holidays, the ever-popular<br />

le<strong>is</strong>urely Sunday walking tour <strong>is</strong> sure to invigorate<br />

and inspire.<br />

Starting Time and Location - Sunday 26 May.<br />

Gather 1.30pm for 1.40pm start from outside<br />

Old Smugglers Inn in Auchencairn.<br />

Route - V<strong>is</strong>it the studios of Jennie Ashmore,<br />

Trevor Leat and Janet O’Donnell in and around<br />

Auchencairn and include a walk to Red Haven<br />

Bay and Torr Point.<br />

Terrain - Paths and grass field. Walks Grade -<br />

moderate. Clothing - sturdy footwear and outdoor<br />

clothing to suit weather conditions. D<strong>is</strong>tance -<br />

4.5 miles.<br />
