Essential Information<br />
<strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> <strong>2013</strong> takes place on Saturday 25,<br />
Sunday 26 and Monday 27 May. All studios are open<br />
from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm each day.<br />
If you are Friend of <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> please remember your Friendship<br />
Card to take advantage of the array of benefits, d<strong>is</strong>counts and offers<br />
<strong>available</strong> both in studios and with local businesses over the <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong><br />
weekend and throughout the year. Please see p5 for more information.<br />
With a larger scale more detailed foldout map and the reintroduction<br />
of the coloured routes we hope you will find the <strong>2013</strong> maps both user<br />
friendly and fun.<br />
Please note our new banners for <strong>Spring</strong>back, Neighbours, Young Art<strong>is</strong>ts,<br />
Mentors, Wigtown Resident and Grads which appear alongside some<br />
art<strong>is</strong>ts’ names - you can find out more about these programmes on p5.<br />
Prize Draw<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>2013</strong> <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> Prize Draw <strong>is</strong> generously sponsored by Trigony<br />
House Hotel and offers the chance for v<strong>is</strong>itors to win vouchers to<br />
spend on art plus luxury accommodation and fine dining.<br />
1st Prize: A £200 voucher to spend in the studio of your choice + one<br />
nights stay for two people at Trigony House Hotel* in a Superior room<br />
including dinner, bed & breakfast for two<br />
2nd Prize: A £100 voucher to spend in the studio of your choice<br />
+ one nights stay for two people in a Classic room at Trigony House<br />
Hotel* including bed & breakfast for two<br />
3rd Prize: A £50 voucher to spend in the studio of your choice<br />
Several smaller prizes will also be awarded.<br />
To enter simply pick up a Prize Draw card from Gracefield Arts Centre<br />
or any other <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> venue; remember to collect at least three<br />
stickers from the studios you v<strong>is</strong>it, complete the questions and post<br />
back (freepost) by the deadline to be in with a chance of winning.<br />
An online version of the Prize Draw questions will also be <strong>available</strong><br />

Taster Exhibitions<br />
With 93 art<strong>is</strong>ts and makers participating in <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> <strong>2013</strong>, a new format<br />
Pop-up Taster at Gracefield over the Easter Weekend, and a brand new Taster<br />
Exhibition in the east of the region which runs over the <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> weekend,<br />
th<strong>is</strong> <strong>is</strong> your opportunity to preview and purchase art work and offers a unique<br />
chance to begin to plan your <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>Fling</strong> weekend. Most of the art<strong>is</strong>ts work <strong>is</strong><br />
for sale, unless otherw<strong>is</strong>e stated. <strong>The</strong> exhibitions’ dates are as follows:<br />

to take cash or a chequebook with you! Participants would like to politely request that<br />
v<strong>is</strong>itors do not take photographs of their studios or work without checking with them first.<br />

fin<strong>is</strong>hed with it.<br />
