Inspired by landscape and the natural world our photographic pract<strong>is</strong>e tests<br />
the boundaries of traditional image capture, with abstract and experimental<br />
projects taking place alongside more classic works. We will both be on hand<br />
throughout the weekend to chew the fat, offer tips and advice and run miniworkshops.<br />
Refreshments and plenty of home baking on offer as always.<br />

Th<strong>is</strong> past year I have been working with glass powders; blending unique<br />
colours and increasing the detail seen on the surfaces of my glass. I’m<br />
challenging the work to become as delicate as possible whilst still creating<br />
strong, sculptural vessels, to the extent they float on water. My theme for<br />
the year <strong>is</strong> ‘Universal Structure’, investigating theories of how galaxies are<br />
constructed and playing with glass and gravity in the kiln to real<strong>is</strong>e my own<br />
ideas. Glass vessels, work in progress, models, sketches and prints will be on<br />
show.<br />
directions: Travelling on the A75, from either Dumfries or Stranraer, take the A712<br />
