My paintings are about my experience of the natural world. I am interested<br />
in its complexity and beauty. <strong>The</strong>y are strongly based on shapes and textures<br />
in the natural world but are interpreted through my own emotional response.<br />
I let the paintings evolve using a blend of intuitive gestures and conscious<br />
forms. I like them to have freedom in movement coupled with a sense of<br />
balance. As well as fin<strong>is</strong>hed pieces, v<strong>is</strong>itors will have a chance to see my<br />
workings and ideas through sketchbooks, photography and drawings.<br />

just off the A711 (St Mary St) road going through the town. <strong>The</strong> WASPS building <strong>is</strong><br />

Jane exhibits her award winning miniature paintings nationally and<br />
internationally. She <strong>is</strong> currently the ONLY Scot living in Scotland who has<br />
gained full membership to the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors<br />
and Gravers (London). Working mainly in oil on ivorine, polymin and vellum<br />
her attention to fine detail <strong>is</strong> evident in all the work you will see. Subjects<br />
include pets, people and places. Larger works can also be viewed and work in<br />

from Cornerways to a wooden seat at Sandside where you can sit and enjoy the<br />
