(c) To accomplish the Government's "3R1M" objectives, Architectural Services Department has carried
out a re-engineering exercise in 2001. We will continue to outsource further the professional and
technical services for new building projects, devolve a range of maintenance activities, and
strengthen the advisory roles. The Department will also re-deploy posts flexibly to meet the
increase in expenditure on minor works and strengthen advisory services.
