Gototop (b) One Workman II post was deleted in 2002-03 due to re-engineering of receipt and dispatch service. Eighteen staff (1 Assistant Electrical Inspector, 2 Works Supervisors II, 2 Senior Artisans, 4 Artisans, 1 Motor Driver and 8 Workmen I/II) were redeployed arising from the outsourcing of sewage treatment facilities in Tsuen Wan. Are there any plans to employ more or less non-civil service contract staff in 2003-04? If so, what are the reasons? And what will be the number of staff and the level of expenditure involved? Asked by : Hon. LEE Cheuk-yan Reply : Gototop The Department employed a total of 201 non-civil service contract (NCSC) staff as at 1 March 2003. The revised estimated expenditure for these NCSC staff for 2002-03 is $34 million.
