(4) Replacement and Rehabilitation of Water Mains
We have used the statistical data of water mains, e.g. age, material, main burst records,
maintenance history, to work out the 20-year water mains replacement and rehabilition
programme covering about 3 000 kilometres of water mains. Implementation of the
replacement and rehabilition programme will prevent further deterioration of the water
distribution system and reduce the leakage level to 15%.
