not to be so very much difficulty in attaining to it.

case. Wonder has been expressed more than
once that those who are willing to admit the
Primacy of Rome as of Divine ris;ht ~ should not
at once submit to the Supremacy of Rome as
now exercised. We might quite as
reasonably
express our surprise that men who are well
aware of the recent additions made to the prac
tical system of the Roman Church, in conse
quence of her exaggerated claims, should not at
once quit her communion. If truth demands
immediate action on the one side, why should
it not equally demand it on the other? In fact
theoretical truth and practical truth are very
