Aspects of Traditional Stone-Tool Technologies<br />

During a fi ve-day symposium in late August 2003, a group of archaeologists,<br />

ethno-archaeologists and fl int knappers met in Uppsala to discuss skill in relation<br />

to traditional stone-tool technologies and social reproduction. This volume<br />

contains 20 of the papers presented at the symposium and the topics<br />

ranges from Oldowan stone tool technologies of the Lower Palaeolithic to<br />

the production of fl int tools during the Bronze Age. The symposium was arranged<br />

by Societas Archaeologica Upsaliensis and the department of Archaeology<br />

at Uppsala University.<br />
