alcohol was a contributing factor. Alcohol abuse/dependency<br />

screening is mandatory for members who return to drinking and<br />

incur an alcohol incident. The following are examples of events<br />

after which members shall be screened:<br />

, _ I Drunkenness or drunk and disorderly conduct;<br />

, A~llcohol-related NJP;<br />

i ~lcohol-related civilian arrest;<br />

I; Domestic violence where alcohol is a factor; or<br />

Zncompetence for duty due to alcohol intoxication or<br />

1. Screenirly and Treatment Programs. Cornmand/self-referrals<br />

2nd recomme ion from a medical officer or LIP must be<br />

~btained prlor to transferring a member to a SARP facility for<br />

Treatment. The medical officer or LIP will determine the extent<br />

35 abuse and recommended level of intervention or treatment<br />
