PLU<strong>MB</strong>[LOT][iv]from RAJDER's [REJDER] group advises that the recognition<br />

of the provisional government of RAS [RAS][v] was to a considerable extent the<br />

result of pressure of the most conservative elements beginning with LEAHY[vi]<br />

and ending with CALIPH [KALIF][vii] and OTs, who only a few months ago were coming<br />

out against recognition. Now these people see in RAS a reactionary figure capable<br />

of setting up an anti-Soviet bloc after the war. Notwithstanding the de facto<br />

recognition CAPTAIN [KAPITAN][viii] is suspicious of RAS fearing the possibility of<br />

the creation of a military dictatorship.<br />
