INTEREST OF VARIOUS PERSONS IN "HENRY'S" WORK.<br />

After being ill <strong>for</strong> three weeks HENRY [GENRI][i] appeared<br />

<strong>for</strong> a meeting. He related that while his laboratory has been in<br />

existence various persons have kept visiting it and have interested<br />

themselves in his work. While he was ill, he was visited by a<br />

representative of the Ministry of Health[ii] who interested himself<br />

in his work. HENRY does not know the true reason <strong>for</strong> this attention[iii],<br />

but supposes that it is connected with<br />

[42 groups unrecovered]<br />

documents. HENRY in future intends to work<br />

[51 groups unrecoverable]<br />

Comments: [i] GENRI: previously to 5 Oct 1944 "TALANT". Real name –<br />

William Marias MALISOFF, Russian-born, American-<br />

educated scientist with a background in the petroleum<br />

and oil industries. Died 16 Nov 1946.<br />

[iii] Note that on 13 December ANTON reported that the<br />

meeting he was to have had with HENRY that day had<br />

fallen through as the latter was under surveillance<br />

by two Competitors [KONKURENTY] [S/NBF/T56].<br />
