persons "concerning whom it is known that they give information (10 groups

i. Message no. 741 is published as S/NSF/T21, Item 1 (external Serial No. 1325
15 Sept 1944). In this message MAJ said that (% KOCH) was trying to get a list
of "reds" from the Security Division of "IZBA".
ii. IZBA: the Office of Strategic Services (OSS).
iii. ZEMLYaKI: members of the Communist Party of the country in question.
iv. PRATO: really Carlo E.
v. ZABLODOWSKY, David, head of the Editorial Section, Presentation Division,
OSS.
vi. GOLDBERG, Arthur J.
vii. FLEISCHER, Henry Charles. The incorrect middle initial may have arisen
from a confusion of the Latin C with a Cyrillic S.
viii. MARZANI, Carl Aldo.
ix. DROZDOFF, Lee Mathew, assistant cartographer, Research and Analysis
Section, O.S.S.
x. HIRSCHMAN, Albert Otts.
xi. SCHULERG, Seymour Wilson.

xiv. HARRISON (GARRISON) is quite possible, but the name is probably a mistake
(misreading of handwriting) for Fima HAIMSON
xv. SOLOWITZ: should properly be SALOWITZ, but this confusion would be a
natural one for a Russian. Nettie and Tillie SALOWITZ are twin sisters.
xvi. MADDISON: originally Louis Edward MATASOFF. The change of name was made in
1939.
xvii. JIMENEZ; brother of the Manuel T. JIMENEZ given earlier in the list.
xviii. SCHWARTZ: Bert David
xix. MAJ: Pavel Ivanovich FEDOSIMOV.
