Hodio production techniques essential to the successful presentation of school<br />
programs. The program idea, writing, speaking on the microphone, timing.<br />
Survey of program material most welcomed by the stations. Practical studio<br />
erprrlence and instruction in operation of station equipment in the <strong>Texas</strong><br />
<strong>Western</strong> studio facilities. Prerequisite: Junior standing.<br />

3417 Educational Television - A Seminar [ NEW<br />
The course is set up on a seminar level with the work divided to provide concen-<br />
tration in either the elementary or secondary school area. The class is conducted<br />
by means of closed circuit television and demonstrates an instruction technique<br />
that has had wide acceptance. Students see and hear the lectures and demonstra-<br />
tions in a television viewing room: instruction originates in the campus television<br />
studios. Opportunity is provided for students to do practice teaching over the<br />
closed circuit television systpm. Prerequisite: Senior standing and eighteen hours<br />
of education or radio-television.<br />
