The study of adolescent gowth and development, and related procedures in the<br />
teaching of music in the upper level grades and in high school. Choral and instrumental<br />
music niatrrials, organization of ensembles, teaching of music appreciation<br />
and theory, ard integration with the entire school program: public school<br />
music as it is rclated to the life and needs of a community. Prerequisite: Junior<br />

Continuation of 3136. Required of students planning to be "Ministers of Music."<br />

4401 Professional Laboratory Experience in the<br />
Elementary Grades [ 328~<br />
A minimum of lo hours per week for one semester of laboratory observation and<br />
teaching experience in the elementaryschool music classes. For all-level teacher<br />
certification. Prerequisite: 6 hours of Educat~on. 6 hours of upper level Music<br />
Education, senior standing and approval of Music Faculty Teacher Education<br />
Committee.<br />
