How to Enter <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
First: If you do not have a personal copy of this catalog and an Application<br />
Form, write the Registrar, <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>College</strong>, El Paso, <strong>Texas</strong>.<br />
He will send them to you without charge and will be glad to answer any<br />
questions about your qualifications and about the <strong>College</strong>.<br />
Second: Request the Principal or Superintendent of the high school from<br />
which you graduated to send the Registrar a complete record (transcript)<br />
of your high school work. Transfer Students: A student who has been enrolled<br />
in another college or university must have a complete and official<br />
transcript sent directly from the institution last attended. Sending your<br />
transcript does not obligate you to attend this college.<br />
Third: When you receive the application form, fill it out and mail it to<br />
the Registrar. This is all you need to do. Within a few days, if you meet the<br />
entrance requirements, you will receive an official Notice of Acceptance.<br />
Room Reservation: When you get your notice of acceptance you are<br />
ri eligible to apply for your dormitory room. All students whose homes are<br />
not in El Paso are required to live in the dormitories on the campus to<br />
the full capacity of the facilities. Send your application to the Business<br />
Manager, <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>College</strong>, enclosing a $5 deposit.<br />
Frerhman Guidance Service<br />
Provisions are made to assist you in getting off to a good start at <strong>Texas</strong><br />
<strong>Western</strong>. The opening program of assemblies and personal advisory service<br />
by faculty members will introduce you to the <strong>College</strong> and acquaint you<br />
with its social and academic organizations and activities. Through the<br />
Bureau of Testing, Guidance, and Consultation, all <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Western</strong> students<br />
are offered a complete program in aptitude testing and vocational counsel-<br />
ing. This service aids the student in planning his college career and his<br />
life work. Note the dates, times and place of convocation and orientation<br />
exercises in the Calendar at the front of this catalog. You must attend these<br />
events so that you will have the necessary information for a good beginning<br />
in your school work at the <strong>College</strong>.<br />
Information for Veterans<br />
<strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>College</strong> is approved by the Veterans Administration far the training<br />

of veterans. Provision has been made to help ex-service men and women obtain the<br />
benefits to which they are entitled. The Registrar will gladly answer questions about<br />
admission, credit for baining in the armed services, college courses and programs of<br />
i study.<br />
A limited number of housing units are available on the campus for married veterans<br />
and their families. Inquiries should be addressed to the Business Manager, <strong>Texas</strong><br />
<strong>Western</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />
