Identification of Minerals, Ores and Rocks<br />
ONE OBJECTIVE of <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>College</strong> is to be of<br />
assistance in the economic development and exploitation<br />
of the natural resources of the State. In pursuance of this<br />
objective the <strong>College</strong> will examine and identify minerals,<br />
rocks and ores sent for determination. It will also advise<br />
as to the possible economic value represented by such<br />
specimens.<br />
At times inquiries may be made of the <strong>College</strong> which<br />
should properly be handled by some other State or Federal<br />
agency. The <strong>College</strong> will direct such inquiries into the<br />
proper channels.<br />
The <strong>College</strong> does no commercial assaying, but it will<br />
be glad to refer the inquirer to a commercial assayer who<br />
can do the work requested. The <strong>College</strong> assumes no<br />
responsibility for the safe arrival of packages sent to it.
