Religion in Life Week<br />
In the life of every wholly developed<br />
individual a s iritual foundation is esseo-<br />
tial. Speccherty religious leaders, inform-<br />
al discussions, and ~ersonal conferences<br />
are resented as a means of acquainting<br />
-or remindin the student of religion's<br />
vital place io f; world. Catholic. Jewish.<br />
and Protestant authorities are given the<br />
opportunity to encourage the student in<br />
his spiritual quest.<br />
All TWC Day<br />
A day of social and sports events is set<br />
aside each year as All-<strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
Day. Held usually in May. the day's<br />
activities open with a baseball game between<br />
the faculty and the seniors. Social<br />
organizations compete in a swimming<br />
meet. Highlight of the day is the annual<br />
beauty revue at which "Miss TWC is<br />
selected from entries made by campus<br />
organizations.<br />
Spring Festival<br />
The Spring Festival is held each year<br />
in connection with AU-TWC Day. Every<br />
organization on campus sets up a booth<br />
of gamer or refreshments for the festival.<br />
A dance closes the day's events.<br />
Flowsheet - -~ Queen<br />
Exh year a nationally known celebrity<br />
is nsked to act as iud e in the Flowsheet<br />
Orwen Contest. The ikntitv of the queen,<br />
\;hi~is kiected from photo& hic entries<br />
is not revealed uotil the yeargook is dis:<br />
tributed in May. Any girl who is a student<br />
is eligible to compete.<br />
Honors Day<br />
Sardonyx, junior and senior men's hono-<br />
rary organization at <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Western</strong> Col-<br />
lege, sponsors, each spring. the annual<br />
Honors Day ceremony. At this traditional<br />
Honors Day. <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>College</strong> gives<br />
public recognition to those students who<br />
excell in scholarship and citizenship. The<br />
students being honored are in one or more<br />
of the following groups: (1) Members of<br />
<strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>College</strong> honor societies;<br />
(2) Members of national honor societies;<br />
(3) Students who merit recognition for<br />
distinction in citizenship and scholarship;<br />
and (4) Student Council representatives.
