Background: In FY 2007, Medford received $636,217 in CDBG funds. The 2005-2009 Con Plan<br />
described persons living with <strong>HIV</strong>/<strong>AIDS</strong> as a “Low” priority among special needs<br />
populations, and had a goal <strong>of</strong> developing zero units <strong>of</strong> housing for people living<br />
with <strong>HIV</strong>/<strong>AIDS</strong>.<br />
Process: Applications are due by February 2008, and funding decisions are expected by May<br />
2008.<br />

Background: In FY2007, the City <strong>of</strong> Salem received $1.5 million in CDBG funds and $920,000 in<br />
HOME funds. Salem’s 2005-2009 Consolidated Plan identified four funding<br />
priorities: homelessness, affordable housing, removal <strong>of</strong> affordable housing barriers,<br />
and community development.<br />
Process: Salem adopted its 2007-2008 Annual Action Plan in April 2007. Applications for<br />
2008-2009 CDBG / HOME funding were released in October 2007, and were due by<br />
December 2007.<br />
