Process: Depending on the awards made from this funding round (to be announced in<br />

AMH Division – Community Mental Health <strong>Housing</strong> Fund (CMHHF)<br />
Background: These funds are used to support the development <strong>of</strong> housing for persons with<br />
chronic mental illness. Applicants may request up to $100,000 from the CMHHF for<br />
the purpose <strong>of</strong> creating new community housing opportunities for people with<br />
serious mental illness.<br />
Process: Solicitation usually occurs October <strong>of</strong> every year. Applications are reviewed and<br />
rated by an AMH appointed review panel. The review panel’s recommendations are<br />
presented to the AMH Assistant Director who makes the final funding decisions.<br />

AMH Division – Alcohol and Drug Free (ADF) <strong>Housing</strong> Fund<br />
Background: The ADF <strong>Housing</strong> Fund awards were initiated in 1999 when the <strong>Oregon</strong> legislature<br />
approved funds for the expansion <strong>of</strong> alcohol and drug treatment services. One<br />
million dollars are available through the ADF <strong>Housing</strong> Fund in 2007-09. These<br />
funds are available to assist with the establishment <strong>of</strong> new housing for people in<br />
recovery from alcohol and drug abuse and who are actively involved in an approved<br />
treatment program.<br />
Process: Funds are available every biennium subject to legislatively approved budget.<br />
Applications are reviewed and rated by an AMH appointed review panel. The<br />
review panel’s recommendations are presented to the AMH Assistant Director who<br />
makes the final funding decisions.<br />

City <strong>of</strong> Bend Affordable <strong>Housing</strong> Fee RFP<br />

Background: Bend implemented an Affordable <strong>Housing</strong> Fee in 2006, and intends to release an<br />
RFP for new construction and rehabilitation <strong>of</strong> affordable homeownership and rental<br />
housing.<br />
Process: Latest round <strong>of</strong> applications were due in September 2007. The Affordable <strong>Housing</strong><br />
Advisory Committee meets monthly to discuss local affordable housing and make<br />
funding decisions.<br />
