Oregon HIV/AIDS Housing and Services Systems Integration Plan—Appendices A-9
funding awards have been higher (nearly $2 million), partly because of use of Shelter
Plus Care. Going forward, the maximum possible bonus project would be about
$60,000 over two years. Administration costs are the biggest barrier to applying for
bonus.
Process: CoC typically meets once per month. Contact Pearl Wolfe (below) for information
on meetings.
Jackson County Continuum of Care
Background: This CoC serves Jackson County, including the cities of Medford and Ashland. The
pro-rate share is approximately $200,000, and the CoC was not awarded extra
funding in FY 2006. Administration and homelessness definitions are obstacles for
local providers. The Housing Authority of Jackson County has not historically had
interest in special needs housing.
Process: The Jackson County Homeless Task Force is the guiding body for the Jackson
County 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness (with Jackson County Health and Human
Services) and for the CoC. Contact Ed Angeletti (below) for more information.
Central Oregon Continuum of Care
Background: This CoC serves Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson Counties in central Oregon,
including the cities of Bend and Redmond. The CoC covers a large rural area and
has a pro-rata share of less than $200,000. The CoC uses its funding across a
number of programs.
Process: The CoC usually meets the third Friday of the month at 8:30am, in Bend or
Redmond. There currently is no HIV/AIDS representation at the CoC.
Wallowa, Wasco, Wheeler, and Yamhill Counties. The 2007 awards totaled $1.5
