Oregon HIV/AIDS Housing and Services Systems Integration Plan—Appendices A-11 Process: Depending on the awards made from this funding round (to be announced in December 2007), AMH may announce additional application rounds during this biennium. Contact: Vicki Skryha, Community Housing, Employment & Supports Manager 503-945-9722, vicki.skryha@state.or.us AMH Division – Community Mental Health Housing Fund (CMHHF) Background: These funds are used to support the development of housing for persons with chronic mental illness. Applicants may request up to $100,000 from the CMHHF for the purpose of creating new community housing opportunities for people with serious mental illness. Process: Solicitation usually occurs October of every year. Applications are reviewed and rated by an AMH appointed review panel. The review panel’s recommendations are presented to the AMH Assistant Director who makes the final funding decisions. Contact: Jeff Puterbaugh, Housing Development Coordinator 503-947-5533, jeffrey.l.puterbaugh@state.or.us AMH Division – Alcohol and Drug Free (ADF) Housing Fund Background: The ADF Housing Fund awards were initiated in 1999 when the Oregon legislature approved funds for the expansion of alcohol and drug treatment services. One million dollars are available through the ADF Housing Fund in 2007-09. These funds are available to assist with the establishment of new housing for people in recovery from alcohol and drug abuse and who are actively involved in an approved treatment program. Process: Funds are available every biennium subject to legislatively approved budget. Applications are reviewed and rated by an AMH appointed review panel. The review panel’s recommendations are presented to the AMH Assistant Director who makes the final funding decisions. Contact: Elizabeth Anguiano, Housing Projects Coordinator 503-947-5544, elizabeth.anguiano@state.or.us City of Bend Affordable Housing Fee RFP Online: http://www.ci.bend.or.us/depts/urban_renewal_economic_development/ Background: Bend implemented an Affordable Housing Fee in 2006, and intends to release an RFP for new construction and rehabilitation of affordable homeownership and rental housing. Process: Latest round of applications were due in September 2007. The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee meets monthly to discuss local affordable housing and make funding decisions. The second calendar describes the monthly meeting schedules for the Continua of Care and other state and local planning processes.
