The learner can:<br />

2. Differentiate between different network topologies, types of networks.<br />

3. Describe multiple access protocols (collision and token based). IEEE 802.3 Ethernet.<br />

4. Describe the features of the layered architecture of networks.<br />

5. Expla<strong>in</strong> the function<strong>in</strong>g of Switch<strong>in</strong>g, Bridg<strong>in</strong>g and Rout<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

6. Describe the Internet, its delays and quality of service.<br />
