This exam<strong>in</strong>ation is of three hours duration with a total of n<strong>in</strong>e (09) questions. Learners must answer<br />
five (05) questions select<strong>in</strong>g at least one (<strong>01</strong>) question from Section A, one (<strong>01</strong>) each from Section C<br />
and D, and one (<strong>01</strong>) from Section B.<br />

To develop the skills needed to become a competent Civil Eng<strong>in</strong>eer the learner must be able to<br />
practise all of the techniques <strong>in</strong>volved. It is essential that they can access a wide range of equipment<br />
to be able to develop their abilities. It is also important that learners work <strong>in</strong> groups small enough to<br />
enable them all to ga<strong>in</strong> practical hands-on experience. Assessment should address all aspects<br />
<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>dividual practical skills.<br />
