Die Vorstandswahlen waren ein Schwerpunkt des General Meetings am 10. September in Dresden.
The elections for the executive board were the focus topic for the general meeting in Dresden on September 10th .
Die BIG-EU Mitglieder bestätigten Volker Röhl in seinem Amt als Präsident
und Klaus Wächter als Schatzmeister. Brad Hill von Honeywell wurde
zum neuen Vizepräsident gewählt. Damit ist er der Nachfolger des 2011 verstorbenen
Bill Swan. BIG-EU Gründungsvorstand Karl-Heinz Belser, Johnson
Controls Systems & Service, wurde als Nachfolger von Gijs de Koning wieder
in den Vorstand gewählt. De Koning zog sich aus dem Vorstand zurück, bleibt
aber weiterhin mit seiner Firma Roko Beheer B.V. in der BIG-EU aktiv.

Volker Röhl ist seit 2006 Präsident der BIG-EU und engagiert
sich schon seit der Gründung 1997 im Vorstand. Er
leitet bei STRABAG PFS in Münster unter anderem den
Bereich Gebäudeautomation. Davor war er beim Anlagenbauunternehmen
YIT Germany sowie 11 Jahre bei Johnson
Controls tätig.
Der neue BIG-EU Vizepräsident, Brad Hill, beschäftigt sich
seit 1996 mit BACnet. Für die Firma Honeywell ist er schon
seit über 20 Jahren tätig, aktuell als Global Technology Leader
bei Honeywell International in Rolle (bei Lausanne). Darüber
hinaus engagiert er sich Brad Hill seit 2010 auch als Vorstandsmitglied
von BACnet International.
Klaus Wächter wurde 2010 in Vorstand gewählt und fungiert
seitdem als Schatzmeister. Er ist als Global Standardization and
Regulation Manager bei Siemens Building Technologies, Zug,
tätig und engagiert sich seit 2004 in der BIG-EU. Er ist außerdem
Mitglied des BACnet Test Lab Acceptance Committees
(BTL-AC) und Leiter der Schweizerischen Delegation des CEN
TC247. Im Juli 2012 übernahm er die internationale Verbindungsfunktion
zwischen CEN TC247 und ASHRAE SSPC135.
Karl-Heinz Belser, früherer Gründungsvorstand der BIG-EU,
seit seinem Wechsel zu JCI im Beirat, wurde in Dresden
erneut in den Vorstand gewählt. Der Regionalleiter
Vertrieb bei Johnson Controls in Stuttgart ist unter
anderem auch Vorstandsmitglied im VDMA Fachverband
Automation+Management für Haus+Gebäude (AMG) und
im VDI Arbeitskreis Technische Gebäudeausrüstung (TGA)
Stuttgart. Weiterhin ist er in der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Industrienbau
(AGI) aktiv.

The BIG-EU members confirmed Volker Röhl as President and Klaus
Wächter as Treasurer. Brad Hill, Honeywell, was elected as Vice-President.
In this post he is the successor of Bill Swan who died in 2011.
BIG-EU founding member Karl-Heinz Belser, Johnson Controls Systems
& Service, was elected to the Executive Board as successor of Gijs de
Koning. De Koning resigned from the Board, but stays in the BIG-EU with
his company Roko Beheer B.V.
Volker Röhl is president of the BIG-EU since 2006 and has
already been a board member since the foundation 1997. At
STRABAG PFS, Münster (Germany), he heads, among others,
the building automation sector. Previously, he has been working
at the construction company YIT Germany and at Johnson Controls
for 11 years.
The new BIG-EU vice-president, Brad Hill, began involvement
with BACnet in 1996. For the company Honeywell, he has
already been working for more than 20 years, currently as a
Global Technology Leader at Honeywell International in Rolle
(near Lausanne, Switzerland). Moreover, he participates on
the BACnet International Board of Directors since 2010.
Klaus Wächter was elected to the executive board in 2010,
taking over the role of the treasurer. He is working as Global
Standardization and Regulation Manager at Siemens Building
Technologies, Zug (Switzerland) and has been active in the
BIG-EU since 2004. He also is member of the BACnet Test Lab
Acceptance Committee (BTL-AC) and lead of the Swiss delegation
of CEN TC247. In July 2012, he took over the International
Liaison (IOL) between CEN TC247 and ASHRAE SSPC135.
Karl-Heinz Belser, former founding committee member of the
BIG-EU, since his move to JCI member of the Advisory board,
has been elected into the Executive Board again in Dresden.
The regional sales manager at Johnson Controls, Stuttgart (Germany)
is, among others, board member in the VDMA association
Automation+Management for House and Building and in the
VDI Association for Technical Building Equipment Stuttgart. Further
he plays an active role in the AGI – Workgroup for Industrial
Construction.
