Educational Activities:<br />

All activities of the European Youth Centers will be under the auspices of the Campaign.<br />

The European Youth Foundation is supporting educational activities and pilot projects<br />

around Europe on the themes of the Campaign.<br />

1. international youth meetings (Category A): 246 projects<br />

2. Other youth activities (publications, web sites, etc.): 54 projects<br />

3. Pilot projects (including on Human Rights Education): 115 projects<br />

National Campaign Committee meetings:<br />

Five times during 2006 and 2007 at different places<br />

Goals and objectives:<br />

1) Sharing experiences and practices<br />

2) Training in media strategy, in campaign management and in evaluation/follow-up<br />

3) Public relations<br />

4) Net Working<br />

NCC activities so far … more to come:<br />

− Seminars on human rights education<br />

− Living library as an educational method<br />

− Large media campaigns, films<br />

− Cooperation with schools<br />

− Competitions<br />

− Ambassadors and music compilations<br />

Thematic Weeks:<br />

1) International events held outside of the premises of the European Youth Centres<br />

will be developed together with the National Campaign Committees in the hosting<br />

country.<br />

2) Events that are targeted at “hot issues” related to the campaign; some are more<br />

general and will be co-ordinated from Strasbourg using the network to multiply the<br />

communication effect in each country.<br />
