important issue. The measure enabled a new collegial form of cooperation to be created<br />

based on a combination of a variety of logic approaches. It is based on the individual<br />

competences of all parties involved and aims to create a synergy of their actions – a synergy<br />

which can be translated into the formula 1 + 1 = 3.<br />

When the programme “Réussite educative” was developed, it was a foregone conclusion<br />

that we would participate. This new instrument permitted us to extend both the age<br />

parameters of children and young persons in need and the problems addressed, and we<br />

were able to release funds with which we could in turn create new measures and<br />

incorporate the personal approach based on individualised backgrounds.<br />

We were therefore able to create a system which allowed us to intervene directly at the<br />

source – the child alongside its parents – and thereby jointly establish the selection of<br />

necessary measures to be employed (within the areas of health, hygiene, leisure time,<br />

culture, school, etc.). We intervene at a certain point in the lives of these children and<br />

provide them with individually tailored support for a specific period of time. We work<br />

together to design unique and innovative measures with the common aim of reacting<br />

personally, comprehensively and flexibly to the needs of these children and their families.<br />

Recently, we have been able to develop innovative projects through this cooperative<br />

dynamic, such as the parent bus, an instrument which is aimed to support parenthood and<br />

permits direct personal contact with these parents.<br />

We are continuing our work to guarantee the coherence of these instruments. For this<br />

reason, the community recommenced activities during 2005 which have been spun off<br />

from the local school project involving the collaboration of all school actors.<br />
