5. INTEGRATED RESOURCE PLAN DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION
5.1 PURPOSE
The purpose of this report Section is to present the formulation of alternative resource
plans and their evaluation leading to the selection of a Recommended IRP. All costs
presented in this Section are 30-year NPV other than Tables 5.2 and 5.3, which are in
$2012.
5.2 RESOURCE PLAN DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
The formulation and evaluation of the alternative resource plans was a multi-step
iterative process involving the Halifax Water technical team, comprised of staff and
consultants, in collaboration with the Tellus team. Results from this process were
presented to the Stakeholders Group at key points as presented in Section 2 of this
report. Figure 5.1 presents an overview of the IRP alternative resource plan
development.
