Who: SSG Mark A. Ratcliffe, Mobilization Operations Center (MOC).
What: 4 Year Reenlistment.
Purpose: To stay Army Strong by keeping motivated, competent, and
hard working NCOs in our ranks.
Summary:
The decision i to continue to serve this great Nation requires a rare
courage displayed by very few. As SSG Ratcliffe signed his name and
recited the oath, he joined those hallowed ranks of heroes who
voluntarily chose to do something for someone besides themselves- to
defend our Constitution, to bare true faith and allegiance to the same
and to obey the orders of the President of the United States and the
orders of the officers appointed over him, according to regulations and
the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
End State:
The Oaths words are uniform across all services, and to take this oath
is to make a promise. This promise sets us apart and requires us to
abide by a stricter set of rules than most. It is about discipline and
values. There is an expectation of excellence and integrity. It is a great
day for the Army when we get to keep Soldiers like SSG Ratcliffe whom
are dedicated to live by these rules.
