Advanced Menu (8/14): Air Sensor<br />

If an optional ambient air temperature sensor is installed, the sensor must be enabled to display the current air<br />

temperature on the main status screen. The optional air temperature sensor is used to protect the system<br />

plumbing and equipment against freeze damage. For information about freeze protection for circuits, valves<br />

and auxiliaries, see page 26. The air sensor can be ordered separately (see page 38 for details).<br />

To enable or disable the air sensor:<br />

Enabled: Yes<br />

Menu button: Select the Advanced 8/14 menu.<br />

Right button: Select the AIR SENSOR ENABLED: NO setting.<br />

Up/Down buttons: Select Yes to enable the sensor. Select No to disable the sensor<br />

and not to display the air temperature in the main status screen.<br />

Left button: Press the Left button to return to the main status screen.<br />

Note: If after enabling the air sensor the main screen displays AIR Error or Solar Sensor ERR, this<br />

indicates the solar sensor is not connected or it is out of range. See “Solar Sensor Error Message” for<br />

more information on page 66.<br />

Advanced Menu (8/14): System Mode<br />

From the System Mode menu you can configure the SunTouch system to operate as a Solar Only mode<br />

system or as a Pool/Spa mode system (shared equipment). For more information about the “Solar Only” mode<br />

menu, see page 4. For more information about Pool/Spa mode, see page 9.<br />

Menu button: Select the Advanced 8/14 menu.<br />

Right button: Select the SYSTEM MODE setting.<br />

Up/Down button: Select SOLAR ONLY mode to configure SunTouch as a solar<br />

system. Select POOL/SPA mode to configure SunTouch as a stand-alone pool and<br />

spa automatic controller which include solar capabilities.<br />

Left button: Press the Left button to return to the main status screen.<br />

Advanced Menu (8/14): System Type<br />

From the System Type menu you can configure the SunTouch system for a pool and spa system (shared<br />

equipment), or as a Single Body of water system (pool only or spa only). For the “Single Body” system menu<br />

structure, see page 36.<br />

Menu button: Select the Advanced 8/14 menu.<br />

Right button: Select the SYSTEM TYPE setting.<br />

Up/Down button: Select Shared Equipment to configure SunTouch for a pool and<br />

spa system. Select Single Body to configure SunTouch as a single body of water<br />

system.<br />

Left button: Press the Left button to return to the main status screen.<br />

Advanced Menu (8/14): Circuit Timeout<br />

From the Circuit Timeout menu you can set the system circuit timeout duration from one (1) to 23 hours. The<br />

default setting is 12 hours. If a circuit relay is switched on manually, it remains on until either it’s switch it off<br />

manually or the default 12 hours has elapsed. This feature is useful to change the system circuit timeout<br />

duration of default 12 hours.<br />
