most unusual requests from anywhere
made by hotel guests of their concierge.
We present some of them below:

Не так давно влиятельное американское издание «Форбс» опубликовало
список 10-ти самых странных просьб гостей всего
мира по результатам опроса консьержей международной ассоциации
Les Clefs d'Or. Члены организации тактично называют
эти просьбы «уникальными». Вот некоторые из них.
Швейцарский магнат подошел к консьержу гостиницы
Fairmont Hotel в Сан-Франциско с целым списком заданий.
До конца дня ему нужны были стрижка, забронированный
столик у Gary Danko, авиабилет в Цюрих и … феррари GTO.
Консьерж не растерялся: «Есть ли пожелания по поводу цвета,
сэр?» – «Что-нибудь темное, и я не хочу тратить на это
больше 5,5 миллионов долларов».
A guest from Switzerland at the Fairmont
Hotel in San Francisco gave his
hotel concierge a rather long “to do”
list one day. The concierge had to: book
a hair appointment; reserve a table at
the exclusive restaurant Gary Danko;
purchase an airline ticket to Zurich; and
buy a Ferrari GTO. When the concierge
dutifully asked what colour the car
should be, the Swiss guest replied, “Well,
something dark, and I will not pay more
than $500,000 for it”.
A concierge of The Setai Hotel in
Miami once had to arrange transport
to London of a tiger because the female
lover of a British guest staying at the
hotel said she would go to the UK only
if her favourite tiger went there too. As
you would expect the hotel concierge
contacted the local zoo and received assistance
in handling the matter.
At the Ritz-Carlton in Mexico City one
hotel guest asked to have his favourite

Сотруднику отеля The Setai в Майами пришлось найти способ
переправить тигра в Лондон, поскольку пассия британского
гостя согласилась ехать к нему в Туманный Альбион только
при условии, что ее любимый тигр поедет с ней. Консьерж обратился
за помощью в местный зоопарк.
Однажды гость с Ближнего Востока попросил консьержа
лондонской гостиницы Brown's Hotel отправить к нему домой
21-го оленя: его дочь как раз отмечала 21-й день рождения.
Гость мексиканского отеля Ritz-Carlton пожелал устроить персональный
просмотр фильма на пляже возле отеля. Проблема
состояла только в том, что гость не любил, когда песок забивается
между пальцами, и попросил как-то его прикрыть. Находчивый
консьерж заказал большие свертки белого ковра…

gentleman also remarked that he did
not like to get sand between his toes.
What did the hotel concierges do? They
simply ordered large rolls of white carpet
to do the job!
In Berlin a man staying at the Adlon
Kempinski Hotel and who had just
purchased a Mercedes-Benz asked the
concierge to drive the car to Munich
and replace it with another one – namely
the same model of another Mercedes-
Benz in the hotel parking lot.
