Купол часовни над фамильной гробницей львовских патрициев Боимов увенчан
необычной фигурой печального Христа. Так его традиционно изображали в живописи –
сидящем в Гефсиманском саду. Для скульптуры этот сюжет уникален.

This idea is unique
in sculpture.
Львовский трамвай – явление загадочное и неординарное. Только
во Львове можно остановить трамвай с помощью поднятой руки.
На нем здесь ездят на экскурсии, его заказывают для праздничных
путешествий и объяснений в любви. И немецкие кинематографисты
снимали клип о Львове для Евро-2012 именно из окон трамвая.
The old and unusual Lviv streetcar is the only one in the world that you
can stop simply by raising your hand as you would do to hail a taxi. In Lviv,
streetcars are used for guided tours around the city, but can also be
booked for various leisure-time trips and for romantic rendezvous. Recently
a group of German filmmakers shot a video about Lviv for the Euro
2012 football championships right from the windows of a local streetcar.

to its unusual black facade.
The gas lamp
was invented by
citizens of Lviv
back in 1855. At
a local cafemuseum
specially
dedicated to
this historical
landmark, patrons
can watch the
inventors thanks
to bronze statues
of Jan Zeg,
resting at a table
by the entrance,
and Ignatius
Lukaszewicz,
looking out from
a window on the
third floor.
