INSTALLATION OF<br />
PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY<br />
Place parking pawl pivot shaft spacer in recess of case (Fig.<br />
122).<br />
Position parking brake pawl and lever assembly in case with<br />
upper lever on pivot in case. Locate parking pawl at pivot shaft<br />
hole and insert pivot shaft through case; then through pawl and<br />
spacer until end<br />
of shaft is flush with rear of case.<br />
Slide spacer washer onto pivot shaft against parking brake lever.<br />
Position parking brake lever spring in bracket with long end toward<br />
rear. Slide bracket and spring assembly onto pivot shaft with end of<br />
spring under parking lever. Hook other end of spring over pin at<br />
front of bracket (Fig. 123).
