6-6 Adjusting the Flat Target (U)/(L) Solenoids
The Flat Target (U)/(L) Solenoid must be adjusted after replacement.
1. Loosen the 4off socket flange head screws (M5x8), only sufficiently so that the
solenoid can just be moved by hand.
If the screws are loosened too much it will make it difficult to adjust the solenoid.
2. Move and hold the solenoid plunger in the direction of arrow (a). Move the Flat
target (U)/(L) solenoid in the direction of arrow (b) so that there is a gap of
approximately 0.5mm between the flat target (U)/(L) solenoid and the solenoid
plunger.
Take care not to over stretch the solenoid spring.
Adjust so that the gap between
the Flat Target solenoid
and the solenoid plunger
is approx. 0.5mm
3. Re-tighten the 4off flange socket head screws (M5x8).
After re-tightening the 4off flange socket head screws (M5x8) check that the
gap between the Flat Target (U)/(L) solenoid and solenoid plunger is still
approx. 0.5mm, if not repeat steps 1 to 3 above.
Make sure that the main arm
comes in contact with the
Firmly press the solenoid plunger in the direction of the arrow, and make sure
that the main arm comes in contact the Rubber Stopper D when the solenoid
plunger comes in contact with the Flat Target (U)/(L) solenoid.
