to the <strong>Four</strong> Comers area provided in Section I 0.1 of this report. Kings bridge MUD<br />

currently has surplus wastewater capacity available and will have water supply capacity<br />

available in the near term.<br />

Acquisition of capacity from Kingsbridge MUD 1s the recommended alternative for<br />

several reasons. The capital recovery costs for the water supply and wastewater treatment<br />

facilities are less than those available from North Mission Glen MUD and are less than<br />

the costs to construct water supply and wastewater treatment facilities within the planning<br />

area. <strong>Four</strong> Comers will not have to apply for water supply and wastewater discharge<br />

permits (a lengthy and unpredictable process) because Kingsbridge MUD is currently<br />

operating under its own permits. The cost for operation and maintenance of the water<br />

supply plant and wastewater treatment plant, sludge disposal and permit<br />

renewals/reporting/testing is built into the rate structure to be charged to the <strong>Four</strong> <strong>Corner</strong>s<br />

Area.<br />

The capital recovery costs and water/sewer rates provided by Kingsbridge MUD are<br />

shown in Table 6.2.1. A copy of the District's response letter regarding availability and<br />

costs are included in Appendix A<br />
