hydrant water by the utility or by a commercial operators using jet rodding<br />

equipment to clear and clean sanitary sewers.<br />

(9) The use of water in ornamental fountains or in artificial waterfalls where<br />

the water is not reused or re-circulated in any manner is prohibited.<br />

(10) The use of water to wash down any sidewalks, driveways, parking lots,<br />

tennis courts or other hard surfaced area, or any building or structure is<br />

prohibited except to alleviate immediate health or fire hazards.<br />

(11) The use of water for dust control is prohibited.<br />

(12) The use of potable water by a golf course to irrigate any portion if its<br />

grounds is prohibited except those areas designated as tees and greens and<br />

only between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. on designated watering<br />

days.<br />

(13) Industrial customers are required to implement individual water<br />

conservation plans that will be subject to approval by the water system in<br />

accordance with guidelines of the plan.<br />

(14) Any use of water for the purposes or in a manner prohibited in this<br />

section shall be deemed to be a waste of water and any person violating<br />

any of the provisions ofthis section shall be subject to penalties.<br />

Stage 3- <strong>Water</strong> Shortage Warning<br />

Upon implementation of this conservation plan by the water system, after<br />

public announcement and publication of notice, the following restrictions shall<br />

apply to all persons. The manager of system, in the exercise of his discretion<br />

based upon guidelines established by the water system, may implement any or<br />

all of those elements of Stage 3 deemed necessary at any particular time. The<br />

manager shall prescribe the provisions of Stage 2 to remain in effect in Stage<br />

3. If any provision in Stage 2 conflicts with a provision in stage 3, the<br />

provision in Stage 3 will control.<br />

(1) New service connections to the water system where some other source of<br />

water independent of the system is existing is prohibited.<br />

(2) Serving water to a customer in a restaurant is prohibited unless requested<br />

by the customer.<br />

(3) The use of water for the expansion of commercial nursery facilities is<br />

prohibited.<br />

( 4) The use of water for scemc and/or recreational ponds and lakes<br />

prohibited.<br />

(5) The use of water for all privately and publicly owned swimming pools,<br />
