Chapter 1. Operator Controls The System Controller and Its Windows PSI Button Use PSI to show the printhead status, which gives data for the print station and printheads (jetting modules). The PSI button is available on all screens. Data about this screen starts at “Function Bar” on page 17 and continues in “Show Print Station Information” on page 19. Work Area The work area is the part of the main application window where dialog boxes and screens (such as the More Detail screen) are shown. The work area changes when a function is selected. Status Bar The Status bar is just below the function bar and has these functions: • Show the document that is printing • Select a document before or after the current document • Shows the number of documents printed since the last started printing or the reset of the document count • Reset the document count • Show the print speed • Select Fast Stop Current document Select a document Number of documents printed Reset document count Print speed Fast Stop 16 Kodak Versamark CS410 System Controller
Chapter 1. Operator Controls The System Controller and Its Windows Function Bar The Function bar has the buttons that are used to do different operator and key operator functions: • The type of buttons shown in the function bar depends on the selection made in the subsystem bar. In operator mode, when PSI is selected, buttons include Application, Start, Stop, Summary, Config, Diag, and Maint. • The number of available buttons shown in the function bar changes with the operating mode. When the PSI is in operator mode, the first six buttons are always available in the function bar. When PSI is in key operator mode, more buttons are available. Operator Mode Key Operator Mode Key Operator / Operator Mode - PSI selected Start Button Use Start to start or continue printing a job. Before printing can occur, the job must be loaded, all necessary jetting modules must be ready, and data must be available. Stop Button Use Stop to stop printing a job.
