Chapter 3. Advanced Operations Identify Print Stations and Jetting Modules NOTE All INet addresses listed must be correct, as guided by “Assign INet Addresses to Print Stations” on page 54 and “Define Print Station INet Addresses” on page 54. Usually these INet addresses are set during system installation, and they do not need to be changed. 1. Select Job Printers. 2. Select each Jetting Module from the work area. If necessary, change the data for cue sensor, RIP, Mount, and Page correlation. 3. Drag all applicable data outputs from the data station column (left side) to the printer column (right side). Chapter 3. Advanced Operations Identify Print Stations and Jetting Modules 4. Select all applicable RIPs for Printers 1 through 4. 5. Arrow Up and Arrow Down buttons to correct all RIP identities. 6. Select Apply. 7. Select Print Verify, to compare the shown printing system to the job requirements. 8. Respond to all warnings or errors as necessary. Set Up the Production Tracking The optional system controller production tracking keeps a record of printing activity. The record can be a general record of printing time and maintenance time, or it can be instructions for accounting one or more separate jobs printed, materials used, service operations, and preventive maintenance, or all and part of this data. The production tracking can give instructions for each operator or groups of operators. Your company can “Set Up the Production Tracking” to manage materials and make an analysis of costs to use the Kodak Propser S10 Printing System. Installation of the system controller software and this option must include installation of a default database. If necessary, follow instructions in the document on the distribution CD, X:\Options\VersamarkCPT_Guide.pdf, to install Setup_VersamarkCPT.exe. If the production tracking feature was not purchased for your printing system, the buttons and controls discussed here will be missing or disabled. Set Up the Activities and Users A supervisor sets up the list of users, the list of activities, and the access to tasks. Install the Production Tracking Option Do this procedure only if the production tracking option is not already installed on your system controller. NOTE Run X:\Options\Setup_VersamarkCPT.exe, where drive X: is your CD-ROM drive. 1. If the production tracking option has not been installed on the controller, run the Versamark Production Tracking Setup Wizard from the Start menu.
