The results have shown that the mountain forest<br />

soils are strongly acidic, with a pH between<br />

2.5–4.5 in saline extract<br />

The largest amounts of organic carbon is in the<br />

top 20 cm of mineral horizons, due to more<br />

abundant crop residues and lignin rich in<br />

organic carbon decreases with depth.<br />
