enclosed reply card, checking the types of printed material in which
you have special interest. We'll prepare a portfolio especially for you
and see that you get it promptly. There's no obligation, of course.
As soon as a response was received, a salesperson was assigned to the account and personally
delivered the requested samples. If no response was forthcoming, a carbon copy was sent 30 days
later, accompanied by this note:
Perhaps the attached letter was overlooked when you received the
booklet, "Getting More Leads for Your Salesmen," which we sent you
last month.
