Overview
► Mode Choice is actually applied in two distinctively
different ways:
For
Highway – Only applications, Mode Choice is simply
an auto occupancy model.
For MPOs with transit models, , Mode Choice determines
the split among highway and transit modes of travel.
► Currently, most mode choice models in Florida use
FSUTMS software programs, the exception is the
Northeast Florida Regional Planning Model (NERPM)
which uses Cube Voyager’s s XCHOICE program.
